ACT Policing's 'unlawful' bug in NSW uncovered legal conflict

Canberra police sought an urgent legal fix after they "unlawfully" snooped on a criminal across the border in New South Wales. ACT Policing discovered an incompatibility between laws in NSW and the ACT, which meant surveillance warrants issued under territory law could not be used once a target crossed the border.
