For his mum Phyllis, July 31 will mean much more.
Dubbed "Onesies for a day to support CPA", Friday will be a chance for the community to show their support of the Cerebral Palsy Alliance. The fundraising event is open to everyone, from schools to local businesses and every employer and employee.
The goal for the campaign is to raise $30,000 for therapy services, new programs, specialised equipment and clinics for adults and children in Canberra and surrounding regions living with cerebral palsy.
Cerebral palsy is a physical disability that affects movement and posture. The Cerebral Palsy Alliance provides support for adults and children living with the disability, to help improve their quality of life.
Queanbeyan resident Ms Wallace said she would be lost with the support provided by the charity.
"I'm supporting the onesie day as the Cerebral Palsy Alliance have had a huge impact on our lives," she said.
"They have helped our family so much with all the support they have given us, and the therapy they do with Lucas."
Ms Wallace said the alliance is a vital part of the community.
"If they weren't here, we would have to travel to Sydney for so many things," she said.
"Having them here makes the trips smaller and easier. Before connecting with them, we didn't realise how many families in this area are affected by cerebral palsy."
For the Wallaces, the alliance has helped little Lucas by assisting the family with equipment and therapy.
"They have also been to his daycare centre, as well as playgroup, to ensure everything is the way we need it for Lucas, and to ensure those that care for him know what to do," Ms Wallace said.
Participants in the fundraising day on July 31 will receive a fundraising kit including donation tin, receipt letters, posters and a badge.
