While ABC Canberra had the second-biggest drop in audience numbers at 2.2 percentage points, ABC host Dan Bourchier's had the largest share of Canberra's breakfast listeners at 17.7 per cent from 5.30am - 9am.

Bourchier was followed closely by Hit 104.7's Ryan & Tanya at 16.2 per cent and Mix 106.3 at 15.6 per cent.

Mix 106.3 held the largest daily audience overall, with 21.6 per cent, followed by Hit 104.7 at 18.6 per cent and ABC Canberra at 12.6 per cent.

On average Mix 106.3 enjoyed an audience of about 10,000 Canberrans, with Hit 104.7 at 9000 and ABC Canberra at 6000.

The largest audience drop off was between 9am and midday, with 2CA losing 5.1 percentage points, followed by ABC Canberra at 4.1 percentage points but this was when Mix 106.3 saw its strongest growth.

Canberrans aged 10-17-years-old were the newest contributors to Mix 106.3's audience dominance, flocking at 22.6 percentage-point rise since last year's survey in September, however Hit 104.7 held this demographic at 42.4 per cent.

General manager of Canberra FM Radio – the owner of Hit 104.7 and Mix 106.3 – Craig Wagstaff said the rise in that demographic could be potentially attributed to the children of Mix 106.3 listeners but they hadn't had a chance to look into details yet.

"Whilst pleased and proud of the survey results, we emphasise our sincere appreciation for the ongoing and continued support from the Canberra community," Mr Wagstaff said.

The next highest audience rise in that demographic was at Hit 104.7, which saw young Canberrans move over at 5.6 percentage points.

However, people aged 18 to 24 moved away from Mix 106.3 the fastest at 6.8 percentage points, switching dials over to Radio National and ABC News at an equal 5 percentage points.

Audience share over the weekends saw Hit 104.7 hold the top spot with 18 per cent of the audience, followed by Mix 106.3 at 15.7 per cent and then Radio National with 12.3 per cent.
