A man who punched a neighbour in the jaw while wielding a machete in his other hand has been sentenced to a good behaviour order.

He also allowed his dog to "charge" towards another victim after saying he would "f--- you up tonight" as they walked past his house.
On a separate occasion, police stopped the man walking on Tharwa Drive armed with what looked like a chain bolted to a table or chair leg.
The court heard the man had the implement for self-defence.
He pleaded guilty to five charges, including assault, two counts of possessing an offensive weapon, allowing a dog to harass someone and driving with drugs in his system.
The court heard the man had struggled with mental health issues and was "confused" around the time of the offences.
His defence lawyer told the court the man had been prescribed medication in the Alexander Maconochie Centre and was feeling much better as a result of the treatment.
The man had been remanded in custody for just over two months.
On Thursday, Magistrate Glenn Theakston said the man's time in prison would have been a significant deterrent. He sentenced the man to 12-month good behaviour orders on each of the charges from Thursday, meaning he was free to go.
Mr Theakston attached conditions to the orders, including the man be supervised by corrective services, attend programs for his mental health and drug issues and submit to drug testing when required.
