The sites in Holder, Chapman and Waramanga are being considered for an off-leash, fenced dog exercise area and will likely have separate areas for smaller, elderly and frail dogs.
The Chapman site is at the corner of Hindmarsh Drive and Darwinia Terrace, the second is a former sports oval off Weingarth Street in Holder and the third is off Badimara Street in Waramanga, south of the corner with Hindmarsh Drive. Each site is around 1.2 hectares and is being considered for the amount of shade, parking, accessibility and connections to nearby reserves.
The government is seeking public feedback on the three possible sites via the website yoursay.act.gov.au.
