A man has been charged with murder over the death of single mother Karlie Pearce-Stevenson. The man, a 41-year-old inmate at Cessnock jail, was being interviewed by detectives on Wednesday night and was then charged with her alleged murder.
Meanwhile Charnwood residents have been disgusted by news Ms Pearce-Stevenson's identity was assumed by people in the suburb to contact her family and steal her money years after she died.
- After eight years on the run, the father and son fugitives Gino and Mark Stocco have been captured at a remote property near Elong Elong, 50 kilometres east from Dubbo. Hours after the dramatic arrest on Wednesday morning, police discovered the "fairly decomposed" body of 68-year-old Rosario Cimone on the rugged property, Pinevale.
- Some of Canberra's busiest intersections will be closed for more than 50 hours at a time during light rail construction, and key city roads look set to be completely dug up and reconfigured.

9.57am: The earlier crash on Drakeford Drive and Summerland Circuit in Kambah is all clear.
9.07am: There's been a collision northbound on Drakeford Drive and Summerland Circuit in Kambah. A police spokeswoman said it involves two to three vehicles but isn't affecting traffic. A tow truck is en route.
9.01am: Good news! Traffic lights at the upgraded intersection on Antill Street, Dickson are operational as of today. Should make that morning commute slightly easier.
7.42am: All lanes have ben reopened after an earlier rear-end collision on Gungahlin Drive, between Well Station Drive and Sandford Street, at Mitchell.
7.18am: TAMS says one lane is closed southbound on Gungahlin Drive, between Well Station Drive and Sandford Street, at Mitchell while an earlier rear-end collision is cleaned up.
7.08am: Traffic is not expected to be impacted by a two-car crash at the intersection of Gungahlin Drive and Well Station Drive at Mitchell. One car loaded on tow truck with street sweepers on the way to clear the fuel which leaked over the road.
6.52am: Avoid the intersection of Gungahlin Drive and Well Station Drive at Mitchell if you can - there's been a serious rear-end collision after one car hit a kangaroo. No one was injured (except the roo) but there's fuel all over the road. Street sweepers are on their way to clean it up.
6.44am: Watch out for a car crash at the intersection of Gungahlin Drive and Well Station Drive at Mitchell. Crash is believed to have occurred before 6am.
Tharwa Bridge will be closed for maintenance form 9am to 4pm from Wednesday until Friday.

Bacon lovers reacting with near apocalyptic fervour to the World Health Organisation report into the cancer risks of red and processed meat do not need to fear a mass shutdown of Canberra's butchers.
One local butcher believes the report will actually benefit smaller operators, rather than harming sales.

When Canberra's own inside-out Guggenheim Museum opens for business on Monday, the punters are going to get more than they bargained for.
