A man threatened a Holt service station employee with a knife, and stole cash and cigarettes from the service station Thursday night, police say.

ACT Policing say the armed man threatened the staff member outside the Caltex Service Station about 9.45pm. He demanded the employee enter the store and hand him money.
The staff member complied and handed over a sum of cash and cigarettes.
The offender then fled the store on foot, heading south.
The man is described as of Caucasian appearance, 183cm tall with a skinny build and blonde facial hair under his chin. He was wearing a black hooded jumper, light blue jeans, a black balaclava, black fingerless gloves and white and black shoes.
ACT Policing is investigating the aggravated robbery and seeking CCTV footage.
