A 31-year-old Wanniassa man will face the ACT Magistrates Court on Thursday after an attempted robbery and stabbing in Fyshwick last month.

ACT Policing alleged that about 10.40pm on January 19 a man assaulted a woman by shocking her with an improvised electrical weapon, before attempting to steal her handbag in the carpark of a fast food outlet on Canberra Avenue and Nyrang Street.
Friends of the woman came to her assistance, one of whom was then allegedly stabbed. The man allegedly fled on foot.
The man was charged with possess/use a prohibited weapon without authorisation, attempted aggravated robbery, intentionally wound and contravene family violence order.
