Klemke joined the Demons this season on a two-year contract with the option of a third and guided Canberra to within a whisker of a finals berth.
The former Queanbeyan Tigers premiership winner was desperate to transform the Demons from a re-badged Eastlake into a genuine representative team.
His decision to join the Demons has paid off in spades after Canberra went from perennial battlers to genuine finals contenders in the space of 12 months.
Canberra's future in the NEAFL is set to continue under the Demons banner for at least four more years after the club signed a licence extension with the league earlier this year.
The Demons' future in the 10-team competition is now locked in until the end of the 2021 season after they joined rival clubs in committing to a five-year licence extension.
