Sydney's star midfielder Chad Warner remains in Brownlow Medal contention after he was let off with a fine for striking Carlton's Marc Pittonet.

Warner attracted scrutiny from the AFL's match review officer when he raised an arm to fend off Pittonet, catching the ruckman high with his elbow during the Swans' 52-point win at the SCG on Friday night.
The 22-year-old was charged with striking over the fourth-quarter incident, which was graded as careless conduct, low impact and high contact.
It drew a $6250 fine which can be reduced to $3750 with an early guilty plea.
It was Warner's second striking offence this season.
The increasingly impactful midfielder was outstanding in Sydney's victory over Carlton, amassing 28 disposals and three goals.
Warner is one of several Swans stars in Brownlow contention, with Isaac Heeney the early-season favourite and Errol Gulden also like to poll votes.
Fellow Sydney midfielder Luke Parker is facing likely suspension after a heavy collision in Friday night's VFL game.
In his fourth game back from a broken arm, Parker ran past the ball and hit Frankton's Josh Smith with a huge bump.
Smith was later taken to hospital with facial injuries.
Parker has starred at VFL level on return from injury over the last month but has been unable to break back into the Swans' AFL side.
