A man has been seriously injured in a wasp attack on the outskirts of Brisbane.

The man, aged in his 50s, was stung multiple times by a swarm of wasps on Main Street in Samford Village, about 17 kilometres north-west of Brisbane.
Paramedics were unsure if the man had an allergic reaction or if he had been stung enough times to induce severe injury.
He was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a serious condition just after 3pm on Wednesday.
An ambulance spokeswoman said he was "suffering the effects" of many stings and was visibly unwell.
She said his vitals were affected. Vitals include blood pressure, pulse and respiratory rate.
Samford Village's Main Street is home to the township's cafes and restaurants.
