The NSW Department of Industry (DoI) has outlined the location for the attenuator which will be a critical piece of infrastructure for the Eden Safe Harbour project.

“The project objective would be achieved by improving the wave climate in Snug Cove by the installation of a wave attenuator, approximately 343 metres in length, commencing from the end of the multipurpose jetty and extending into part of Cattle Bay,” the DoI said.
Previous issues with the location of the attenuator closing off one side of the middle, fishermen’s wharf have been resolved with a 55 metre gap proposed, between the middle wharf and start of the attenuator, to allow access for fishing vessels and tug boats.
The DoI has commenced early contractor involvement activities with Waterway Constructions.
