A woman in her 70s was taken to hospital with significant head and chest injuries but died after she was hit by a vehicle in a Sunshine Coast driveway.

She was taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a critical condition after the incident in Valdora View was reported at a private residence about 12.30pm on Wednesday.
However, the woman later died.
Forensic Crash Unit were called to investigate but police said they ruled it as an "accident".
