Police are calling on witnesses to help with investigations into the death of a motorcyclist who crashed into a tree south-west of Brisbane on New Year's Eve.

The 33-year-old Morayfield man was riding on Sinnathamby Boulevard near the intersection with University Drive at Springfield Central about 6.45pm on December 31.
Police said he lost control and hit the tree in the centre of the road. He was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where he died a short time later.
Police were urging anyone who saw the crash or had any information about it to contact Policelink on 131 444.
