Their inspirational self-penned and self-produced song Labels Don't Define Us was posted about a week ago and has already had more than 60,000 views.
A group of mostly years 9 and 10 students at the school - which caters to students with disabilities - wrote the lyrics, produced the track and starred in and edited the video as part of celebrations for the United Nations' International Day of People with Disability. It was also the students' final English project for the year.
The powerful, uplifting rap-based song has a stirring chorus:
No one is exactly the same
Everyone is different, no need to feel shame
They called themselves The Woden School RM18 All Stars for the video, which was overseen by teacher Sasha Postuma-Grbic and youth support worker Luke Ferguson.
"I think part of the reason it has been so successful is there's a sense of fun to it, it's not overly preachy and it allows the students' personalities to shine through," Mr Ferguson said.
The video has been seen around the world, with people thanking the students for their empowering message.
"I've noticed with a lot of the students, their confidence and self-esteem, even in the last week, has shot up," Mr Ferguson said.
"I've got a running joke every time I pass [student] Miles [Johnstone] in the corridor, it'll be like, '20,000 views, Miles' and he'll be like 'arrggh'. And then yesterday it was, '50,000 views Miles' and he's 'argghh' but you can tell he's puffing his chest out and really proud of it."
Ms Postuma-Grbic said they wanted to celebrate what was "different and awesome" about the students.
"The song itself only really came to fruition this semester but that idea behind embracing and celebrating disability and them kind of owning it and saying, 'This is who I am' and not be ashamed of it, started a couple of years ago when I started working with the same cohort," she said.
"When we first talked about their disability, they would be in the corner hiding, they would be embarrassed, shy, and not able to understand what it actually meant to them because it didn't seem they'd really talked about it with many people before.
"So while they knew, for example, they had autism, they had that label, they didn't know what that meant to them as an individual.
"They were also getting teased by people who don't understand them. So, the more people we can reach with this video, the better for all aspects of society. Lets talk about the disability and understand it."
Ms Postuma-Grbic said she was determined to build the students' confidence and teach the wider world that disability should be talked about naturally. The song clearly shows the students embracing what makes them special.
The lyrics include references to autism - "I get obsessed with certain things" but also "my mind can fly, like it has wings".
"All the lyrics came out of conversations, class discussions, asking questions and us just putting together incredible, really powerful messages through the song," Ms Postuma-Grbic said.
There was also a fair amount of ad-libbing, with Star Wars fanatic Miles adding his classic line: The force is strong with these people.
Ms Postuma-Grbic was thrilled so many people had seen the video.
"There hasn't been a negative comment," she said.
"The comments have been like, 'This made my day', 'This made me cry for all the right reasons', 'I have a disability and this boosts my confidence'," she said.
Mr Ferguson said the recording studio was the students' space.
"We're here just to oversee and give them the tools to do these amazing things," he said.
