Jayde was last seen getting into her killer's red Toyota Corolla after school about 3.20pm on Friday, August 14.
Her body was discovered 13 days later.
Bennetts lodged an appeal in October, less than one month after he was sentenced to life behind bars for murdering Jayde.
His appeal against the conviction and an application for leave to appeal over his sentence will be heard by the Queensland Court of Appeal on Tuesday morning.
