Gates open at Thoroughbred Park on Tuesday at 10.30am and you can watch the big race on the big screen, as well as local racing starting at 11.25am.
If you want to strut your stuff in the Fashions on the Field competition, make sure you register between 12.30pm and 2pm
Tickets are available at the gate or you can pre-purchase through Ticketek online or at a Ticketek agency (booking fees apply).
Thoroughbred Park management is expecting a big crowd to turn out in support of local hope Single Gaze and there are a number of competitions to celebrate her shot at Melbourne Cup glory.
You could have a chance of winning the Single Gaze Style photo competition if you dress in the mare's red and blue colours. You can also enter the draw to win one of four $1000 prizes after you enter the racecourse. Drinks will be 40 per cent off between 3pm and 4pm if Single Gaze wins the Cup.
Transport
ACTION buses will be providing free services from Thoroughbred Park to Civic via O'Connor shops between 4pm and 7.30pm.
Public parking is available at the racecourse for $5 a vehicle (members park free), and there will be taxis available as well.

- Member's enclosure: $50 (only for members, two ticket limit)

Racing
There are eight races at the track, the first at 11.25am and the last at 4.33pm.
Eat
A number of bars and cafes will keep racegoers well fed and watered, including Jackos Pizza, Snaffles Café and the Food Caravan, for those hankering for Mexican.
Weather
Tuesday is forecast to be partly cloudy, reaching a maximum of 20 degrees. There is a chance of an early morning shower, so think about appropriate footwear.
