Ben Taylor smashed an unbeaten 171 to help North Canberra-Gungahlin avoid outright defeat against Weston Creek while across town his dad, Chris, scored 104 not out in fourth grade.
Ben Taylor's second-innings score was almost more than his entire team scored in their first batting attempt.

Brush played her 100th game in Canberra United's thumping win against the Melbourne Victory on Saturday, with the title contender cruising to a 5-1 triumph.
But Canberra will have to wait until Sunday to find out if they can snatch top spot on the ladder and earn the right to host a home grand final.

The Canberra Cavalry are hanging on to their play-off hopes after an extra-inning loss to the Brisbane Bandits on Saturday night.
The Cavalry and Sydney Blue Sox are now level on wins and their finals chances now hinge on the last day of the season.

The Capitals suffered WNBL heartbreak on Australia Day as the Sydney Flames hit a last-second layup to steal a 77-75 win at Tuggeranong.
It leaves the Capitals clinging to their dream of returning to the finals for the first time since 2011.
Lauren Mansfield nailed a clutch three-pointer with 11 seconds left to level the score, but Sydney's Leilani Mitchell stepped up with one second to go to score a win.
