Killer Danny Klobucar has pleaded guilty to possessing nunchucks found stashed in his car when police arrested him over the bashing death of Canberra grandfather Miodrag Gajic in 2014.

An ACT Supreme Court jury found Klobucar, 27, not guilty due to mental impairment of murdering Gajic, 71, at his Phillip unit on New Year's Day.
That verdict meant Klobucar would be held in a secure facility for an amount of time decided by the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal, and reviewed monthly until he was no longer deemed a threat to himself or the community.
Klobucar's case has been back in court in recent months after Justice Hilary Penfold found he was technically still on remand for four other serious charges, including an assault, that were unrelated to the killing.
His defence team wanted the charges dropped or permanently stayed.
Klobucar later pleaded not guilty by way of mental impairment to charges of intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm, trespass with intent to cause harm and two charges of possessing a prohibited weapon.
But the prosecution rejected the pleas to the weapons offences on grounds they could not be explained by his mental impairment, namely paranoid schizophrenia.
The charges stemmed from nunchucks found in Klobucar's car when he was arrested for the killing.
Klobucar pleaded guilty to possessing the nunchucks when the matters were finally resolved in court on Tuesday.
Prosecutors dropped the second weapons charge.
In sentencing Klobucar, Justice Penfold said the offence was relatively less serious than the other charges Klobucar had faced and noted the considerable delays in the matter.
She recorded a conviction and sentenced Klobucar to five months imprisonment, backdated to start from his arrest in 2014 and expiring in May that year.
Klobucar, who spent two years in custody before he was released when the jury returned its verdict this year, had his bail withdrawn.
His case remains before the tribunal.
