The elegant launch of Ali King: Desserts, Cakes, Events will be held at The Truffle Farm, off Majura Road in Canberra on Saturday, November 5.
It will feature a four-course dessert degustation menu - including some of her amazing creations from Zumbo's Just Desserts, the show in which she recently came runner-up but which we all know she was robbed of the winner's title.
But enough of that. For a chance to attend, all you have to do is start following alikingdesserts on Instagram and say why you would like a seat at the launch.
Ali, Canberra born and bred, is relaunching her dessert business with friend Emilie Rohan, focusing more on catering for events and special, one-off menus.
She will be showcasing her skills at the launch to media and food bloggers.
"It's almost like a bit of a thank you to everyone who has supported me and supported the journey and to show what I can do," she said.
Emilie, who works for the Department of Environment, is taking on the business side of things, knowing full well her friend's potential.
"Every dessert I've ever had of Ali's has been exceptional," she said.
The pair have been working closely with The Truffle Farm's manager Jayson Mesman and chef Damian Brabender to host special events at the farm such as high teas.
"Emilie and I came out in truffle season and fell in love with Jayson and the farm," Ali said.
"It has a beautiful atmosphere, great location and thought it was perfect for what we wanted to do."
