Rookie duo Tom Ross and Mack Hansen join lock Murray Douglas and back Wharenui Hawera alongside Pocock and the 23 that beat the Johannesburg Lions in round nine for a round the world trip.
Pocock's return would be a major boost for a clash with the Cape Town Stormers on Saturday, before meeting the Argentina Jaguares a week later.
The star flanker has not played since March 8 after aggravating a calf injury but is edging closer to a return on a tour that may finally give McKellar the consistency he has craved.
"Most of our Wallaby resting is done now and we are coming off a pretty good performance. We won't be looking to make a whole lot of changes," McKellar said.
"If Pocock is fit and available, then we would obviously consider him, whether that is starting or off the bench. The 23 across the board performed well [against the Lions] and I wouldn't imagine we've got too many surprises going into the Stormers game.
"[Pocock] is a world class player, he is one of the few blokes in the country who can not have played for a long period of time, but then come back in and perform at an extremely high level.
"The opposition have to worry about David Pocock. I think most teams would breathe a sigh of relief if he is not in the opposition. You've got guys you identify as threats. Poey is one of them for other teams."
