An injured rock climber rescued from a steep rock face during a complex operation on Saturday was released from hospital on Sunday afternoon.

The 27-year-old woman was injured at Booroomba Rocks, south of Canberra, on Saturday, while climbing with a group of others.

Emergency services rushed to the scene after she became trapped on a rock face.
A tricky rescue operation, involving firefighters, SES workers and police, managed to get the woman to safety before she was assessed by paramedics and flown to hospital by the Snowy Hydro SouthCare helicopter.

She was hauled to the top of the rock face from where she was stuck 80 metres below.
The woman had been trapped for more than five hours by the time firefighters reached her.
He said she was taken to Canberra Hospital for treatment in a stable condition.
A hospital spokesman said the woman was in an improved condition on Sunday morning, about 11am, and described as satisfactory.

Four hours later, a hospital spokesman said she had left hospital.
