The Canberra Raiders will throw open their doors to NFL and college football organisations as they aim to forge a long-lasting relationship with some of the top teams in the United States.

The Raiders' management team is nearing the end of its two-week fact-finding mission in the US, with coach Ricky Stuart searching for extra edges to add to the NRL program and chief executive Don Furner looking for off-field advantages.
The quartet - including commercial and marketing manager Jason Mathie and football manager John Bonasera - will give a presentation to the Raiders board on their return.
It is hoped the trip will help the club find new ways to increase membership as well as getting any tips for a new proposed training facility in Braddon.
The Raiders also visited the University of California in Berkeley and offered staff access to preparations for an NRL game in Sydney in August next year.
The University of California will be in Sydney to play against the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors at ANZ Stadium on August 27.
"Everywhere we've been, we've left an open invitation at each place we've been and some will be coming out already, we'll look after them," Furner said.
"Without a doubt we'll keep in contact with them ... if any of them said they were coming to Australia, we'd roll out the red carpet.
"We've got a lot of similarities with the [Oakland] Raiders and the extension to their football operations, upgrade and the cost is similar to what we're looking at."
The Raiders will launch their NRL Auckland Nines jersey in Sydney on Tuesday with the team returning to training after being given a week off.
The club is also closing in on a new sponsor deal which could see the Green Machine display different companies on their home and away jerseys next season.
Coach Stuart is also on the verge of committing to a multi-year contract extension to his existing deal, which is due to expire at the end of the 2016 campaign.
The Raiders' US tour led them to Stuart's former NSW and Parramatta star Jarryd Hayne's new home at Levi Stadium for the Pac 12 championship game.
They were also in the stands in Oakland for the Raiders' 34-20 loss against the Kansas City Chiefs. Furner hopes sharing a name with the Raiders can help build an ongoing partnership.
"Everything is on a bigger scale over here. You pick up two or three things from every team over here," Furner said.
"We left a couple of our 'Hulk' jerseys with the Raiders ... We'd love to have an ongoing relationship with them. We've been very lucky with the opportunity all of these teams have offered us.
"The number of staff and scale of things here is phenomenal. I'll give you an example, the Seattle Seahawks have 10 [staff] in their gear and laundry section. They just look after the kit, the boots and the gear.
"We've got one bloke doing it who does a lot of other things as well. The revenue is phenomenal. But talk to them and they face the same challenges as us."
