A 41-year-old woman is in custody after allegedly shooting her partner in the back in the early hours of Sunday morning at Bungendore.

The man underwent surgery at Canberra Hospital and was in a critical but stable condition, as of Sunday night. By Monday morning he was stable, an ACT Health spokeswoman said.
Emergency services were called to the remote rural home on the Kings Highway shortly before 3am on Sunday following reports of a shooting.
On arrival, police found the 40-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his back and paramedics treated him at the scene.
Police were told an altercation had taken place between the man and the woman, who are in a domestic relationship.
A crime scene was established and three firearms were seized when the woman was arrested at the home and taken to Queanbeyan Police Station.
Police allege the woman shot the man in the back.
She was charged with discharging a firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and using an unauthorised firearm.
The woman was refused bail and was expected to appear before Queanbeyan Local Court on Monday morning.
