No change in position on organised criminal group legislation in the ACT

Contrary to Tim Vines' argument ("Turning us all into rogues", Times 2, February 23, p1) the ACT is not considering organised criminal group legislation, as has been recently enacted in other jurisdictions. The ACT government has consistently maintained the position that legislation providing for the declaration or proscribing of certain criminal groups, such as outlaw motorcycle gangs, is not an approach it supports.
