William has topped Canberra's baby boy names for another year while Amelia was the most common name chosen for girls born in 2014.

Traditional choices have continued to dominate the naming game over the past 12 months as reflected in the top 10 boys and girls baby names in the region.
It is the 13th year in a row William has made the boys' top 10.
William was the most popular boys' name in 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2013; the second most popular name in 2007, 2010 and 2011; and the third most popular in 2004 and 2012.
It was also a popular choice in 1950, reflecting a tendency for Canberran parents to choose classic names for their newborn children with Jack, James, Thomas, Charlotte, Sophie, Emily and Ava still popular.
Amelia finally topped the girls' list after appearances in the top 10 over the last four years.
The territory has welcomed more baby boys than girls in the past 12 months, with 5645 registered births in the ACT as of December 19 including 2696 girls and 2949 boys.
William Merrifield was one of them.
The four-and-a-half-month-old's mother, Melissa O'Connell, said choosing her son's name was a family affair.
William shares his grandfather's name. His middle name, James – number five on this year's list – is Ms O'Connell's father's name.
"We both liked the name and Scott really wanted to name him after his grandfather," she said.
"It's a nice name – it doesn't date. I was surprised it's still so popular with all the more modern names."
Ms O'Connell said she was yet to bump into another little William but expected to see the name emerge when she started attending a parents group.
While William retained number one spot, three newcomers featured heavily among the territory's newborn sons with Henry, Cooper and Noah all among the top 10.
Grace and Ruby returned to the girls' list after a brief hiatus while Zoe re-appeared after almost a decade.
Meanwhile, extra prams are being pushed through Ngunnawal, Kambah, Bonner, Macgregor and Dunlop – the top five suburbs for newborns in 2014.
