Celtic has reportedly slapped a $28 million price tag on Rogic, with speculation Leicester City and Southhampton are keen to add him to their squads for next season.
Rogic still has four years left on his Celtic deal after making his comeback from a knee injury last month.
The highest previous transfer fee for an Australian player was when Aaron Moyes moved to Huddersfield Town two years ago for $17 million.
Meanwhile, departing Bayern Munich legend Franck Ribery has expressed an openness towards a move to Western Sydney Wanderers next season, saying money will not necessarily dictate which club he signs for next.
The Herald previously revealed that Wanderers coach Markus Babbel - a former defender for Bayern Munich - had floated the possibility of an A-League shift to Ribery, but conceded it was a "one per cent chance" of coming off.
A long shot it may be, but Ribery did not dismiss the notion out of hand when asked about Babbel's approach in a press conference on Tuesday in Germany.
Ribery, 36, is undecided about where he will play next but said wherever he went, he wanted his family to be comfortable - and that he eventually wanted to return to Munich to live.
"You know that I played football because of the fun and to enjoy it," Ribery told reporters. "I love football."
"If you play well, then you make yourself a great name and the money comes on its own.
"You earn money for what you did. I do not just play for money.
"But why not? Why should not I move to colleague Babbel? I do not know. There are many options.
"I'm not sure yet where I'm going. Everything must be right, also because of my family.
"We are one group - but we are many."
