Another wind, which meteorologists say is stronger, is currently taking a second plume of smoke to the north east of the Mitchell fire.
But from 9am, winds averaging at 30 to 35km/h will blow the toxic smoke plume east.
Those winds will stay relatively the same for three days, and will reach gusts of up to 55km/h.
Meteorologist Sean Carson said those winds would be favourable, as there is little residential areas directly to the east of Mitchell.
