Jude Power's impeccable pitching display and the hitting of Canberra Cavalry star Brian Burgamy led the Indians to their first A-grade title since 1991, thrashing the Ainslie Gungahlin Bears 10-1 at Narrabundah Ballpark to seal the best-of-three series 2-0.

Power gave up just four hits in nine innings of work while Burgamy went three from four to continue the fantastic form which led him to the top of the Australian Baseball League's hitting charts.
Indians player-coach Danny Serena has endured plenty of heartache and near misses since being a part of the club's most recent championship.

''I'm blown away because I was there in '91 and I'm still here now,'' Serena said.
''We've lost 12 or 13 grand finals in the last 20 so you can never assume that you're home. It's a sensational feeling.''
Pitcher Chris Morgan threw the entire game as the minor premiers justified their title favouritism with a thrilling 2-1 victory in the series opener on Saturday night.
