The man allegedly stole thousands of dollars from the ATMs in Westfield Belconnen last Friday.
Police say the man had posed as a technician, allowing him to gain access to the ATMs.
He was arrested by police yesterday afternoon in Braddon and taken to the Watch House.
The man has been charged with theft and unauthorised access with intent to commit a serious offence.
He is expected to face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning, where police will oppose bail.
