TAMS stated that an entire double barbeque unit including hot plates, the electronic system, batteries and gas bottles were stolen from the Murray's Corner location.
Replacing the equipment is expected to cost $20,000.
Rural district manager Brett McNamara said it was the second time staff had dealt with the theft of barbeque facilities.
"This illegal activity is very frustrating as a great deal of time and money is invested into our recreation facilities," he said.
"Now money and time that would otherwise be spent on providing more facilities for the community will have to go toward repairs. Staff regularly monitor urban parks, reserves and playgrounds to prevent damage however members of the public are also encouraged to be vigilant to help prevent future incidents."
Mr McNamara said the theft had been reported to ACT Policing's Rural Patrol.
