The cross-bench party announced last month that it wanted a special team established at the work safety authority to tackle bullying and harassment.
But Greens MLA Amanda Bresnan said yesterday the Bill she will table in the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday would also call for an ''expert advisory committee on bullying''.
The Canberra Times reported last month that WorkSafe Commissioner Mark McCabe believes it is only a matter of time before the territory sees its first criminal prosecution for workplace harassment.
But Mr McCabe also said that investigating allegations was difficult because victims or witnesses were often scared to speak out.
Under ACT law, workers who recklessly fail to prevent behaviour that causes serious harm to another can be fined $220,000 and jailed for seven years.
Ms Bresnan said yesterday her proposed laws would help authorities uncover cases of bullying.
''The Greens' legislation will establish a specialised inspectorate within WorkSafe that has expertise in dealing with bullying and other workplace psycho-social issues,'' the MLA said.
''It will also establish an expert advisory committee on bullying to ensure the ACT implements best practice laws and procedures on workplace bullying
''It will help victims of bullying to have their complaints handled in a timely and sensitive way.''
