The motorcycle allegedly ran a red light in front of a general duties police car near the intersection of Southern Cross Drive and Kingsford Smith Drive in Scullin about 10.50pm.
The officers gave chase, following the green-coloured bike along Starke Street in Holt and then back along Southern Cross Drive.
The bike managed to lose police along Southern Cross Drive, and the pursuit ended.

But the officers saw the same bike riding along Kingsford Smith Drive in Latham a short time later. They gave chase through the suburb of Florey, but the motorcyclist, who is believed to live in the Belconnen area, soon mounted a curb and rode into parkland, where police were unable to follow.
Police believe the same motorcyclist had been seen driving erratically through Civic and Belconnen earlier in the night.
