Police said intelligence gleaned from a "lengthy operation" into a spate of recent aggravated robberies led them to the scene of what they believe was last night's attempted hold-up.
Officers saw three men approaching the door to the club, armed with a number of weapons and wearing disposable coveralls.
They attempted to force their way into the club, which was locked, before tactical police swooped.
The three men were arrested and police then saw two other men fleeing the scene in a car.
They were pursued and arrested a short distance away.
The five teenagers were taken to the Watch House and will face the ACT Magistrates Court today.
