Taliban attack raises doubts over handover success

THAT six gunmen, armed with explosives, suicide bomb vests, AK-47s and rocket-propelled grenades, could lay siege to the most heavily fortified quarter of the most checkpointed city in Afghanistan, has highlighted the fragility of the country's security apparatus. And, it raises more questions about the handover to local forces of control of the country.
