Police found the boy near the intersection of Box Hill Avenue and Tharwa Drive by himself.
The boy was looked after by officers at Tuggeranong police station, but police have said he was unable to give any information about where he lives.
Following an appeal to the public, the family of the young boy came forward, before being reunited.
