A teenage boy has been hit with fines of more than $4000 after being caught riding a motorbike more than 60km/h over the speed limit, police say.

Police said the boy was spotted doing 142km/h in an 80km/h zone of on Horse Park Drive, Harrison on Friday night.
"When police stopped the motorcyclist at about 11.30pm, they discovered the 17-year-old teenage male rider did not hold a licence to ride a motorcycle," they said in a statement.
"The motorcycle did not have number plates attached, it was uninsured, and had been unregistered since April 2019."
Acting Officer in Charge of Traffic Operations, Sergeant Jayde Evans said the boy was fined a total of $4069.
"Motorcyclists are among the most vulnerable users on our roads. The behaviour exhibited by this rider greatly increases the risks," Sergeant Evans said.
"It is fortunate for this rider that he was not involved in a serious or fatal collision. Speeding to this degree is unacceptable, it will not be tolerated."
