The government's deal with Cricket Australia will secure long-term Big Bash fixtures and international men's and women's cricket.
The government and Cricket ACT were keen on a long-term arrangement to avoid year to year negotiations about what content was suitable for Manuka Oval.
Canberra will also host five women's Twenty20 World Cup games next year, as well as the city's first men's Twenty20 international when Australia plays against Pakistan.
