It's that time again. The Handmade Markets take over EPIC this weekend, and they've joined the Australian Made Campaign to support and promote Australian-made products. Since its inception in 2008, Handmade Canberra has put handcrafted homewares, fashion and food in the spotlight, and now attracts more than 270 stallholders from across the country. This weekend, the markets will also see Stephanie Elizabeth Artwork hold watercolour art classes for both kids and adults. Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 4pm. Exhibition Park. Entry is a gold coin donation. Art classes are $25 for the kids class and $45 for the adult classes from Eventbrite.
2. Get a kick out of it
Weekends are made for sport, and what's better than watching a game of footy? Knowing that it's for a good cause. The Canberra Reclink Community Cup is on this weekend and sees some of the capital's best live bands take to the field for The Limestones, as they face off against some of the finest radio, TV, newspaper and online journalists playing for The Noise. Funds raised go to Reclink Australia. Sunday, 11am-6pm. Jamison Oval. Tickets are $15 at the gate.
3. On stage

Seeker Lover Keeper originated from a conversation at a pub. In 2007, Sarah Blasko and Holly Throsby went to see Sally Seltmann play a show and the three ended up talking well into the night. At some point during the night a plan arose: wouldn't it be fun to tour together sometime? The rest, as they say, is history, and they'll be in Canberra this weekend. Friday, 8pm. Canberra Theatre Centre, The Playhouse. Tickets are $65 from canberratheatrecentre.com.au.
4. Retro revival
Spring has sprung and so has Westfield's bi-annual Taste.Shop.Play. weekend. Throwback to the 80s, 90s and noughties with a live DJ, a slushy machine and pinball machines at Westfield Belconnen. Or head over to the Woden centre and take part in some Bavarian pretzel decorating, a martini masterclass or stock up at the lolly bar. Saturday, 9am-5pm and Sunday, 10am - 4pm. Westfield Belconnen and Woden. Free entry but some classes are ticketed. For more information go to westfield.com.au.
5. Movie night
Here's one for the whole family. Head to the National Museum of Australia this Saturday for a DreamWorks pyjama party. Put on your comfiest clothes, bring a picnic meal and immerse yourself in all things Trolls. Enjoyed themed craft activities, before watching the DreamWorks film with some supplied popcorn. Saturday, 4.30 - 7pm. Tickets are $6.36 for kids six and over and $11.64 for adults from Eventbrite. Kids five and under are free.
