Leggett is on the brink of claiming his maiden ITF title when he faces the winner of Martyn Dunn and Riley Dumsday at Canberra Tennis Centre on Sunday.
The Canberran earned a ticket straight to the semi-final after receiving a bye in the first round. Leggett beat Danny Jeffery in straight sets to advance to the final for the first time in his career.
Leggett is seeded for the first time at the event and is gaining momentum on the circuit after beginning his career just four years ago.
It's been a breakthrough season for the Canberran, who recently broke into the world's top 200 players in the ITF wheelchair rankings.
Leggett said the tournament is an excellent opportunity for players to showcase their skills in the community.

"It gives us a great opportunity to get out and mix it up with each other. There's a lot of fantastic players out here this weekend," Leggett said.
"Everyone I've spoken to has been really supportive in regards to playing tennis. It's just great to see a lot of support and have people [watching] over the weekend."
Leggett hopes to enter more tournaments to increase his ranking and help expose wheelchair tennis throughout the community.
All Grand Slams now feature wheelchair tennis as both a singles and doubles tournament, with Dylan Alcott winning three of four singles titles this year.
"Guys like Dylan Alcott do a fantastic job by providing more exposure to the sport," Leggett said.
"More people know about the sport because of him and he's doing a fantastic job at providing that exposure to our game."
