Yates has been earmarked as a star of the future and national selectors will be taking notice of her after her impressive performance.
Yates dismissed the top four South Australian batters and took two more to cap off a superb day, restricting South Australia 203.
Katie Mack and Erica Kershaw proved the difference for the Meteors runchase, finishing with 83 and 52 not out respectively to secure a three-wicket win.
The Meteors beat Victoria in their season opener before toppling South Australia. Their next game will be against the NSW Breakers on January 6.
