Netball ACT has taken another step towards uplifting their strategic direction with the appointment of David Marjoribanks as chief executive officer.

The organisation will no longer have a general manager as they move towards strengthening their footprint on the state and national netball scenes.
Marjoribanks will be the first chief executive of Netball ACT since Adam Horner left the role in July, 2017.
Marjoribanks, who is a life member of the Australian Cricketers Association, joins the organisation with over twenty-five years' experience in executive and general management roles within the insurance and finance sector.
"We believe David's strategic agility, business acumen and mission-driven orientation will be of significant benefit as we move into a new and exciting period," Netball ACT president Louise Bilston said.
"His own personal sporting experience, passion for sport and community, and ability to drive strategic direction will underpin his mission to grow and succeed our sport."

It comes after the organisation earned licences to enter solely-owned franchises into the NSW Premier League and the Australian Netball League from next year.
The Canberra Giants has been scrapped from the national league in favour of a stand-alone team while the 'Capital Spirit' has been unveiled to join the NSW competition.
