Djali Bloomfield leaves Prime Minister's XI with shoes signed by Scott Morrison

Djali Bloomfield, for one. Beyond that you'd be lucky to find too many.

Scott Morrison put the Prime Minister in the Prime Minister's XI when he ran drinks onto the park during their thrilling one-wicket win over Sri Lanka at Manuka Oval on Thursday night.

This time he went the extra mile and pulled on a pair of cricket shoes having run water barefoot in rugby league's equivalent fixture - but where did they come from?

Straight out of Weston Creek Molonglo fast bowler Bloomfield's kit bag, and Morrison penned his name on them to cap off a night to remember.

"Getting the Prime Minister to sign a pair of shoes, I don't know how many guys would be running around with that," Bloomfield said.

"That'll be interesting, I might get a little bit of ribbing about that over the next few weeks but other than that, it was great."

Bloomfield took 2-17 for the hosts as the Prime Minister's XI claimed its second successive victory and his ability to bowl vital yorkers in the explosive Twenty20 format turned heads.

The 27-year-old posted the second-best figures by a Prime Minister's XI bowler in the match, second only to Dan Christian (2-16).

Former Australian captain Allan Border was left wondering if all the Big Bash League squads had been filled during a stint in the commentary box, so impressed was he by Canberra's first representative in the XI in four years.

"I obviously wouldn't say no, that's for sure. I'm probably a fair way off that but thanks very much to AB," Bloomfield said.

"I definitely picked up some stuff from the guys over the past couple of days and hopefully I take that forward into club cricket for the rest of the season.

"I'm not really sure what I was hoping to get coming into the game in terms of figures or anything like that, I was just hoping to get a reasonable crack.

"I did probably better than I was expecting, that's for sure. To take two wickets against an international calibre team, stoked for that.

"I was asking [Christian and Peter Siddle] a few questions, even when I was out there bowling, about 'what's your thoughts on this and that?'

"They were almost deflecting it, saying 'if that's what you want to do, go for it, just back yourself it', which is great as a bowler, to have that confidence from your captains."

Now Bloomfield is expected to back up for the ACT Aces in the Cricket NSW Regional Bash against the Wagga Wagga Sloggers at Chisholm Oval on Sunday.
