A boundary from the final ball saw the ACT XI home by eight wickets in game one after Thailand posted 7-127 at Manuka Oval on Thursday morning.
Zoe Cooke played a starring role with an unbeaten 65 and 3-12 with the ball, while teenage young gun Claire Levings claimed two scalps.
Thailand managed to exact some revenge with a six-run win over ACT in the return bout at Neil Bulger Oval.
Erin Osborne led the way with 44 as a slightly different ACT side posted 7-120 in game two, falling short of Thailand's 6-126.
Both sides will look to tip the ledger in their favour in a third game next week.
