But Alexander Victor Miller, 29, pleaded guilty in the ACT Magistrates Court on Thursday to a "back-up" charge of possessing methylamphetamine, and fresh counts of possessing heroin and driving while disqualified.
Miller, who prosecutors have described in court as the ACT Nomads' sergeant-at-arms, did not apply for bail on Thursday as charges of trafficking in methylampehtamine and possessing stolen property were dropped.
The withdrawal of those charges comes after Miller's lawyer Kate Gunther told the court earlier this month that her client had become a sex worker in order to fund his "debilitating" drug addiction.
Ms Gunther said on that occasion that sex work was not Miller's passion, "as you might expect", and that he found it "demeaning" and "humiliating".
Court documents say Miller had drugs including 15.1 grams of methylamphetamine on him when he was arrested at a Kingston apartment complex on January 10.
While six grams is considered a traffickable quantity, Ms Gunther previously told the court the drugs found on Miller had been for his personal use. She said he used drugs daily, but had a large amount on him because he only bought them about once a week.
Miller was also found with more than $31,000 in cash when he was arrested. Ms Gunther explained this by saying Miller had received $20,000 from his girlfriend, who got it from a car insurance payout, and the remainder was money Miller earned as a sex worker.
The possession of stolen property charge, which has now been dropped, related to the cash.
Miller is due to be sentenced on the remaining charges on March 30.
