Organiser Shirley Bazley said that in August 2019 Merimbula was brightened up by the first Yarn Bombing street art event.
"The response from the local community and tourists was so enthusiastic that it was decided that 2020 would see a repeat performance and now is the time to start making art with yarn," Ms Bazley said.
An informal meeting will be held at the Merimbula RSL Club on Wednesday, March 18 at 10am when all are welcome to come and share ideas on how to work together to decorate the town at this year's Yarn Bombing and Merimbula Festival which will run from August 15-30th.
The Old School Museum will again be the focal point for activities on two Saturdays of the festival with craft and school activities being featured so ideas on how those days can be organised will also be welcome.
