Rideshare company Uber says it would suspend the accounts of drivers for two weeks with pay if they need to self-isolate due to the coronavirus.

It comes as drivers are being supplied with disinfectant to clean their cars in a bid to stop the spread of the virus.
The company said it was looking to implement the new measures globally, but did not say how much financial assistance would be offered to drivers should they be diagnosed with coronavirus or have to quarantine themselves.
"We may temporarily suspend the accounts of riders or drivers confirmed to have contracted or been exposed to COVID-19," the company said.
"We're also consulting with an epidemiologist to make sure our efforts as a company are grounded in medical advice.
"Any driver or delivery person who is diagnosed with COVID-19 or is individually asked to self-isolate by a public health authority will receive financial assistance while their account is on hold."
Uber says the number of people ordering food through Uber Eats has spiked due to coronavirus, as people stay away from heavily frequented areas such as shopping centres or restaurants.
"We understand that you may be relying on food delivery right now," the company said.
"If you prefer, you can leave a note in the Uber Eats app to ask your delivery person to leave food at your door."

While drivers will be supplied with disinfectant for Ubers, supplies are expected to be limited.
Priority will be given to cities with the greatest need.
There are more than 112 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Australia with three deaths recorded.
