Canberra's best frisbee players will return for the second season of the Ulimate Premier League on Sunday, ending a three-month coronavirus-hiatus.
Although the competition was only delayed by a few weeks, players are keen to bounce back after missing domestic and international events during the shutdown.
All six clubs have been training for three weeks and Canberra Ultimate President Jason de Rooy says "the fates have aligned reasonably well" for the competition to return in full.
"It's incredibly important for the Premier League to return. It aims to be our showcase event and we've been able to squeeze it in," De Rooy said.
"Many of these players live for this sport, they do it all the time and the shutdown has been heartbreaking.
"Some members were part of the Australian team scheduled to go to the World Championships and European Championships but they've been cancelled, as well as the national season. So everyone is really keen to get back on the field."

The ACT government lifted restrictions to allow non-contact sports, like ultimate frisbee, to resume competitions this weekend.
Teams have been advised to maintain social distancing before and after matches, while the playing disc will be swapped and cleaned during breaks of play.
The 'spirit circle' will still happen following the match, but players will have to stand apart from each other.
"We adopted measures before play stopped where groups stood 1.5 metres apart in the circle," de Rooy said.
"It will still happen, just slightly less affectionate perhaps."
The Inner North Radicals will launch their title defence in a grand-final rematch against the Tuggeranong Titans at Dickson Oval, while ANU clash with Gungahlin Glory and Southside Vortex play the Belconnen Blizzard.
Canberra Ultimate are planning to hold the fifth annual ACT Championships on September 12 and 13.
