There have been a number of power outages in the Batemans Bay and Narooma areas due to severe weather conditions.
Strong wind gusts have caused large trees to fall onto power lines, which have caused significant damage to the electricity network.
Essential Energy operations manager Darren Basterfield said residents must stay at least eight metres away from damaged or fallen powerlines to avoid electrocution.

"Always treat powerlines as live and remember that anything in contact with them, such as cars, trees or fences, can conduct electricity and pose a danger," Mr Basterfield said.
"We encourage residents to immediately report fallen power lines, network damage, fires or trees contacting power lines to Essential Energy on 13 20 80 or call 000 if the situation is life threatening."
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the power outages and thank customers for their patience."
