* Sixteen COVID-19 cases have been linked to the Holiday Inn at Melbourne Airport.
* Genetic testing has confirmed the virus is the highly-infectious UK variant.
* The outbreak is thought to have started with a family of three infected overseas and quarantined at the Holiday Inn.
* There are 21 active cases of the virus with 21,475 test results received up until midnight on Saturday.
* A three-year-old child and a woman in her 50s were the latest locally acquired infections reported on Sunday.
* They were put into isolation on Friday and tested positive on Saturday
* The pair, who are from separate households, were at a private family function on Sydney Road, Coburg on February 6.
* It was attended by 38 people including a Holiday Inn worker who tested positive on Wednesday.
* They are among the 940 primary close contacts associated with the Holiday Inn outbreak.
* Of the 129 direct family, social, and workplace close contacts, 127 have tested negative.
* Two test results are pending and are expected later on Sunday.
